## Sự hài hòa trong cấu trúc Đội ngũ kiến trúc sư lựa chọn hơn 5.500 cây tre (chiều dài 6m) được vận chuyển từ rừng cách thành phố 100km về phía tây để đáp ứng yêu cầu địa hình đặc biệt. Hệ thống này không chỉ giải quyết hạn chế về cây cối, bến nước và công trình di tích hiện có mà còn lấy cảm hứng từ lưới bắt cá truyền thống Việt Nam. Cấu trúc động lực được tạo ra qua kỹ thuật đan xen tinh xảo, khai thác luồng gió hồ để tự điều chỉnh theo địa hình, đảm bảo không làm tổn hại tính toàn vẹn di sản.
Sáng tạo trong tương tác với nước
Trong không gian nội thất, ánh sáng được lọc qua mái vòm tương tác với các họa tiết tre và tấm vải có thể gập. Từ 16h đến 18h, ánh nắng phản chiếu từ bến nước hướng tây sẽ tạo ra chuyển động sống động trên mặt mái – một mối liên hệ tinh tế giữa kiến trúc và môi trường thủy văn. Sự kết hợp này không chỉ làm nổi bật bản sắc địa phương mà còn biến không gian thành nền tảng văn hóa tạm thời, giàu ý nghĩa trong câu chuyện lịch sử của Hồ Tây.
Dự án chứng minh khả năng chuyển đổi vật liệu bền vững thành giải pháp thực tế cho thách thức đô thị trong khu vực di sản. Bằng cách kết hợp tre địa phương với quy hoạch lịch sử, Nền tảng Tre không chỉ đáp ứng nhu cầu ăn uống tạm thời mà còn tạo ra điểm tựa văn hóa sâu sắc cho Hà Nội – nơi nước và con người hòa quyện từ hàng trăm năm qua.
akasha+associates architecture’s 2017 Bamboo Cultural Restaurant Platform in Hanoi reimagines temporary dining within West Lake’s historic context. Using locally sourced bamboo, it harmonizes with the site’s water features and cultural heritage while navigating strict urban constraints.
Hanoi’s dense urban fabric, shaped by centuries of river systems, provided the backdrop for akasha+associates architecture’s 2017 Bamboo Cultural Restaurant Platform. Situated beside West Lake—a vital water feature encircled by dynastic cultural landmarks—the project addressed a temporary dining need within Hanoi’s complex historical and regulatory landscape.
Structural Harmony
The architects selected over 5,500 bamboo poles (6m long) transported from forests 100km west of the city to achieve structural flexibility. This choice directly responded to site constraints: existing trees, water docks, and a small heritage building required preservation. The design draws inspiration from traditional Vietnamese fishing traps, translating this into a kinetic structure that harnesses West Lake’s wind patterns through intricate knotwork. Crucially, the system adapts to the lake’s geography without compromising the site’s historical integrity.
Inside, filtered light from a skylight interacts with bamboo compositions and hinged canvas. Between 4pm and 6pm, reflected sunlight from the west-facing water dock creates dynamic movement on the roof surface—a subtle yet profound connection between architecture and its aquatic environment. This interplay transforms the space into an active cultural platform that enriches West Lake’s historical narrative while serving contemporary needs.
The project demonstrates how sustainable material choices can resolve urban challenges in heritage contexts, turning temporary function into a resonant cultural anchor within Hanoi’s layered history.
