## Nguyên tắc cấu trúc thông minh Điểm đặc biệt của công trình nằm ở cách kết hợp tinh xảo giữa thanh thép uốn cong và thân tre thẳng. Thép đóng vai trò trục dẫn cho bốn mặt phẳng đối xứng, trong khi tre tạo thành mặt cắt sinh hoạt. Thiết kế này giải quyết hoàn toàn xu hướng gãy cong của tre khi không được hỗ trợ, cho phép xây dựng nhanh chóng bởi người lao động có kỹ năng hạn chế mà vẫn đảm bảo độ bền vững.
Tính ứng dụng đa năng
Hình dáng "cánh chim" độc đáo của công trình phù hợp với thương hiệu nghỉ dưỡng của khách hàng – loài cò nổi tiếng với màu lông hồng rực rỡ. Sự linh hoạt trong thiết kế đã được chứng minh khi nhà vệ sinh từ khu trưng bày chuyển ngay sang sử dụng lâu dài, bao gồm cả chức năng bar gần bể bơi và khu ẩm thực. Điều này khẳng định tiềm năng của vật liệu tre khi kết hợp với kỹ thuật công trình thông minh.
Công trình nhỏ gọn nhưng thể hiện rõ khả năng ứng dụng của tre trong kiến trúc hiện đại. Việc tái sử dụng nhiều lần cho các hội chợ du lịch là minh chứng cho phương pháp thiết kế của BambuBuild: tận dụng nguyên liệu địa phương để tạo ra cấu trúc tạm thời có thể chuyển sang nhu cầu lâu dài mà không làm tăng tác động môi trường.

The Flamingo Bamboo Pavilion, designed by BambuBuild for a Vietnamese resort in 2017, exemplifies sustainable architecture through its reusable bamboo structure. Originally an exhibition pavilion for tourism fairs, it now functions as a bar adjacent to pools and restaurants, demonstrating cost-effective, eco-friendly construction principles that prioritize disassembly and reusability.
BambuBuild’s Flamingo Bamboo Pavilion emerged from the urgent need for temporary yet durable structures during Vietnam’s tourism fairs. Its client demanded low-cost, lightweight materials easily assembled and repeatedly reused—a challenge BambuBuild met through bamboo, a traditional Vietnamese eco-friendly resource with exceptional strength-to-weight ratio.
Structural ingenuity
The pavilion’s defining feature lies in its clever integration of curved steel poles and straight bamboo. Steel acts as the directrix for four symmetrical ruled surfaces, while bamboo forms the generator. This precise combination overcomes bamboo’s tendency to bend when unsupported, enabling rapid construction by low-skilled workers without compromising structural integrity.
This design created a distinctive "bird's wings" silhouette that resonated with the client’s resort branding—flamingos are iconic wading birds celebrated for their vibrant pink feathers. The pavilion’s versatility was immediately validated as it transitioned successfully from exhibition spaces to permanent resort functions, including bar operations near swimming pools and dining areas.
Despite its modest size, the structure proves bamboo’s potential in contemporary architecture when paired with strategic engineering. Its reusability across multiple exhibitions underscores BambuBuild’s approach: leveraging locally sourced materials for temporary installations that seamlessly adapt to long-term hospitality needs while minimizing environmental impact.
