Chiến lược không gian tối ưu cho sự riêng tư đô thị
Để giải quyết xung đột giữa tính tiếp cận công cộng và sự yên tĩnh cá nhân, các kiến trúc sư tái cấu trúc không gian thành ba khu vực chức năng rõ ràng. Khu bảo quản rượu chiếm 40m² với bố cục đơn giản tối ưu cho việc lưu trữ, khu giao tiếp phục vụ tối đa 8 khách có hệ thống chiếu sáng và xử lý âm thanh kiểm soát, cùng hành lang chuyển tiếp mượt mà từ bên ngoài siêu thị vào không gian nội thất.
Chiến lược không gian tận dụng đặc tính khí hậu micro của Quận 10 – nơi có ánh nắng trưa mạnh và độ ẩm cao – để tối ưu hóa ánh sáng tự nhiên mà không làm giảm cảm giác mát mẻ. Bằng cách định hướng các cửa kính theo góc độ phù hợp với hướng gió, Plus Idea Studio tăng cường ánh sáng phân tán vào buổi sáng lạnh nhưng hạn chế tiếp xúc trực tiếp từ mặt trời vào giờ chiều.
Việc tích hợp các yếu tố cấu trúc hiện có của siêu thị sau lưng là chìa khóa cho tính riêng tư. Các bức tường bê tông nguyên bản được bảo tồn, kết hợp với các vách gỗ nhẹ tạo thành rào chắn thị giác giữa các khu chức năng.

The Rustic Wine Cellar occupies a constrained 70m² footprint behind Mua Vang Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City's District 10. Despite its proximity to commercial activity, the space achieves remarkable privacy through deliberate spatial segmentation and strategic orientation relative to the hypermarket façade.
The Privileged Geometry of Urban Privacy
The architects resolved the inherent tension between public accessibility and private tranquillity by reconfiguring the space around three distinct zones. A primary storage area occupies 40m² with minimalistic layouts optimized for wine preservation, while a secondary social zone accommodates up to eight guests with controlled lighting and acoustic treatments. The third functional segment serves as an entryway that seamlessly transitions from the hypermarket’s exterior into the cellar's interior without visual intrusion.
The spatial strategy leverages District 10’s unique microclimate conditions—characterized by intense afternoon sun and humidity—to enhance natural light penetration without compromising thermal comfort. By positioning large windows at strategic angles relative to prevailing wind patterns, Plus Idea Studio maximizes diffused daylight during the cooler morning hours while minimizing direct solar exposure in the afternoons.
Critical to this design is the integration of existing structural elements within the hypermarket's rear section. The renovation preserved original concrete walls while introducing lightweight timber partitions that create visual separation between functional areas. These partitions act as both thermal barriers and acoustic buffers, preventing noise from external traffic from disrupting wine tasting sessions.
Material Alchemy for Warmth and Authenticity
Handcrafted timber elements form the cornerstone of the cellar’s aesthetic identity, with each piece meticulously tailored to specific functional zones. The architects collaborated directly with local woodworkers in Ho Chi Minh City to produce custom pieces that blend traditional Vietnamese motifs with contemporary functionality.
